The Progress Brief

Method

The Progress Brief collects and classifies signals about global human wellbeing using a declared framework.

Editorial perspective

This site does not claim absolute neutrality. It gives weight to health, education, safety, stability, environment, access to knowledge and reduction of systemic risks.

Ranking

Scores range from -5 to +5 and remain documented editorial judgments, not automatic measurements.

Practical examples

An event gets +3 instead of +5 when the evidence is strong but the effect is still limited to a region, a sector or an early phase. A risk gets -2 instead of -4 when the deterioration is real but contained, reversible or not yet systemic. The score is a documented editorial judgement, not a mathematical truth.

Sources

Primary and transparent sources are preferred. Journalistic sources are used for discovery and verification, never copied.

Translation

Reports are written in Italian and translated by AI into eight languages with visible disclosure.

Declared limits

The scoring framework reflects an editorial perspective and should be read with its evidence and criteria.
